Using industry-leading ETAP, Electrical OM and Caneco BT software, our engineers produce rigorous studies that underpin compliant and cost-effective electrical system design.  

HV/LV Network Analysis Overview

We carry out load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and discrimination studies for high and low voltage distribution networks. These studies ensure that protection devices are correctly specified, coordination between protective devices is achieved, and the system operates safely under both normal and fault conditions. 

Our network analysis service covers projects from small LV systems through to large-scale HV infrastructure for hyperscale data centres and industrial facilities. All studies are produced in compliance with IEC, BS 7671, and applicable local standards, with clear documentation for client, contractor, and regulatory review.

Design Process

Concept & Feasibility

Network topology definition, utility data collection, and load schedule development. Identification of critical protection and coordination requirements. 

Schematic Design

Initial load flow and fault level studies to validate system design assumptions. Protection device selection and preliminary settings. 

Detailed Design

Full ETAP/ Electrical OM/Caneco modelling with confirmed equipment data. Completed protection coordination, arc flash, and cable sizing reports. 

IFC Documentation

Formal study reports issued for construction, including protection relay settings schedules, cable schedules, and regulatory compliance documentation.
